Yuva Sankalp Shivir, Agra : A debrief

RSS Bri j Pranth organized a three day Yuva Sankalp Shivir from 1 st Nov 2014 to 3rd Nov 2014 in Agra . The shivir was aimed at establishing a direct contact with youth of the nation and providing them right direction and motto in life. A total of 5060 students from various educational backgrounds took part in the three day camp.  



The students were selected to the camp after a two layered filtration. According to Padam Singh, the in charge of students activities in Brij Pranth, a total of around 30000 students from various colleges in 12 different cities in UP were contacted. Of the above, 5000 students were screened to the actual camp after a round of group discussion. The composition of the selected students was so multi-dimensioned that the group contained 2250 graduates, 750 Masters, 507 from Technical education, 300 from commerce stream and included 90 professors. 153 Ganashikshaks and over 1000 Swayamsevaks also participated in the camp to facilitate the smooth conduct of the camp.  

Eminent people from various walks of life have guided the students and shared their expertise with them. RSS Sarsanghachalak Dr. Mohan Bhagwat , Shri. Anand Kumar, Founder of Patna based SUPER-30 IIT training school, Shri. Rajavardhan Singh Rathod, Olympic silver medalist and Gen VK Singh, MoS, Defence, are among those who attended and shared their valuable experiences with the students.  

In his inaugural address, Shri Kishan Chand, Kshetra Pracharak of RSS Brij Prantha, said that in the past, Bharat remained ahead of the rest of the world in all aspects. And today, we are the most youthful country in the world with large chunk of the population being in its prime youth. Hence the future of the world lies in the hands of youth of Bharat.



Speaking on the occasion, Shri Anand Kumar of Super 30 fame said that it is unfortunate that our research scholars discuss more about salary package than about the content of the research. This kind of attitude will not do any good to the budding researchers. This needs to be changed.  He said “ Four things are must to achieve any goal, viz strong and sustained efforts, positive thinking, constant practice and infinite patience”. Reminding the students of the hoary past of Bharat, he said “ there was once a time when people from all over the world used to come to Nalanda and Takshashila, not just to acquire the intellectual knowledge but to excel in spiritual realm too”.



Olympic medalist and Colonel Rajavardhan Singh Rathod, MP, in his speech, emphasized the importance of passion and strong will power in achieving difficult goals. Ashish Cahan Gore of Divya Prem Mandir, Haridwar said that today multinational companies too depend on the youth of Bharat to run their operations. Dr. Mchanasin. Singh Cahan and Mr. Puran Dabur were also present on the dais.  

In another session, in the presence of various dignitaries from Business and Teaching world, Swami Haribol Maharaj, who was also the chief guest for the session, said that over the years, Bharat has been mismanaged by rampant corruption. Sages were forced to feel insecure. But, he said, now the things are slowly changing and appears good times have arrived.



Addressing the concluding session, Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohan Bhagwat said that nations in the world have become prosperous not because of the leaders of the country, not because of the political parties or institutions but because of the patriotism and devotion of the ordinary citizens of the country. The uniqueness of Bharat is its unity in diversity. He further said that security and reputation of a country earns respect for its citizens. Sangh builds character and inculcates discipline among Swayamsevaks and in turn such Swayamsevaks work according to their abilities and interests for the cause of the nation. He also said  that service for the country and society shou ld be done with love, affection and with a  sense of belonging ness .



Various eminent people have attended the camp during the course of three days and were facilitated by Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohan Bhagwat. An exhibition, detailing the achievements of Bharat and contributions made by our ancestors was put to display for the purpose of common public and a large number of people have visited the exhibition during the camp.
