RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat likely to visit Tripura for 5 days from May 23

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat is anticipated to visit Tripura on May 23 to participate in a series of events, according to sources on Tuesday.

During his five-day visit, the RSS 'sarsanghchalak' is expected to engage with numerous Sangh 'pracharaks' from the Northeast Region. Additionally, he will meet with senior BJP ministers and leaders, including Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha.

In preparation for his visit, security measures have been intensified at Khayerpur Seva Dham in the West District, where he will be staying. Bhagwat is scheduled to depart the state on May 28. His visit holds significant importance as it precedes the counting of Lok Sabha votes on June 4.

In 2022, Mohan Bhagwat visited Tripura for a series of organizational meetings a year before the state elections. He previously visited Agartala in 2018 for an organizational meeting with Sangh karyakartas from eight northeastern states.

In December 2017, during a visit to the then Left-ruled Tripura, Bhagwat encouraged Hindus to join RSS 'sakhas' (units), emphasizing that these were unique venues for learning about nation-building and self-development.
