Hindu Chaitanya Shibir was a three day Sangh camp of purna Ganveshdhari Swayamsevaks organized in Guntur
A glimpse at important statistics reveals the scale of efforts and the impact shibir had created.
A total of 17,300 swayamsevaks belonging to 11 revenue districts took part in the three day shibir. A magnificent temporary structure resembling the ancient Shatavahana Architecture was erected and huge tents reminding the olden days were built to accommodate Swayamsevaks in an area that spread across more than 150 acres of land.
A total of 1400 short term full time volunteers and 2906 Gatanayaks worked for shibir. For almost two months, every day, on an average 200 people worked at the site readying the site for Shibir.
As part of basic infrastructure, three temporary lakes were built with a capacity of a whopping 4 million liters and connected by a 9 km pipeline exclusively set up for this purpose.
“Bharateeya Pragnya” – A unique exhibition that displayed ancient art, literature, musical instruments, war strategies, and puzzles amongst many others was the star attraction of the Shibir and an estimated 1.25 lakh people visited the exhibition.
The stage set for public meeting was another highlight of the program with 150 feet length and 30 feet width. A splendid 25 feet tall backdrop and 67 feet Dwaj adorned with Rangoli conveyed it all to the more than 60000 people who attended the Samarop.
In one particular village, there was representation from every single house in the Shibir. 8 such families participated in the Shibir in which 3 generations of Swayamsevaks from the same family were present.
