Mangalore Vibhag Sanghik was organized on Pushya Bahul Saptami (3rd February 2013) to commemorate 150th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.
The event was a two hour long program in which 85347 Swayamsevaks in full Sangh uniform participated. All of them came from just three revenue districts of Karnataka.
Of the total 1500 villages in these three districts, 1080 villages were represented in the Sanghik. A few villages had presence from every house in the village.
The work for this mega Sanghik began 10 months in advance. 246 Vistaraks or short term full time volunteers left their homes and worked for this massive program while 457 Karyakartas worked full time staying at home. A total of almost 15000 Gatnayaks relentlessly worked for this cause.
Not a single pamphlet or an invitation was printed for this purpose. 15000 Gatanayaks visited almost every house in the Vibhag and invited everyone personally, highlighting the unique feature of Sangh, i.e. man to man contact and heart to heart relation.
A 2700 Swayamsevak strong patha sanchalan (Route March) was organized as a run up to this Sanghik.
Apart from being telecast on major networks, this Sanghik will be remembered as the first event to have launched a 360 degree virtual tour on internet.
